Career Advice: Don’t underestimate what you can accomplish in the next 90 days.

Imagine you're in an elevator, and normally you would stop at every floor—1, 2, 3, 4—on your way up. But with a quantum leap, instead of stopping at each floor, the elevator shoots straight from the 1st floor to the 10th floor in one big jump, skipping all the floors in between! It’s a super-fast way to get to the top without the usual stops.

In the realm of atoms, electrons make these instantaneous jumps all the time. In our world, a quantum leap represents a transformative change that propels us far beyond our current state.

Now, what if you could make your own quantum leap in the next 90 days?

Your 90-Day Quantum Opportunity

The next quarter isn't just a period on your calendar—it can be your launchpad for exponential growth. In just 90 days, you can:

  • Rewire your brain to form lasting habits (thanks, neuroplasticity!)

  • Improve by 1% daily, ending up 2.5 times better than when you started

  • Leonardo da Vinci conceptualized flying machines in just three months. What innovations could you bring to fruition in the same timeframe?

Identifying Your Quantum Goal

Ask yourself:

  1. What's the most impactful change I want to make by January 1st?

  2. What goal, if achieved, would transform my professional or personal life?

  3. What have I always wanted to accomplish but thought would take years?

Choose one goal that excites and slightly intimidates you. That's your quantum target.

Mapping Your Leap

  1. Break your quantum goal into weekly milestones.

  2. Identify three key actions you can take each week to progress.

  3. Determine one critical habit to develop that supports your goal.

Your Quantum Toolkit

  1. Daily Progress: Commit to small, consistent actions every day.

  2. Weekly Check-ins: Review your progress and adjust your approach as needed.

  3. Accountability: Share your goal with a trusted colleague or mentor.

  4. Celebration: Acknowledge every milestone, no matter how small.

Remember: "Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow." - Robert Kiyosaki

What will your quantum achievement be?

Tell Me Somethin’good:

We recently read this article that really got us thinking—"St. Bernard on the Hertz Shuttle" by Mike Kerrigan.

In it, Kerrigan recounts a seemingly ordinary moment that turned out to be pretty profound. He was catching a shuttle at Denver International Airport when he met Dave, a driver who’s been at it for 45 years. You could almost overlook him, but Dave’s energy and attitude stood out—he was playing “A Groovy Kind of Love” and had the shuttle decorated with a banner celebrating his 45-year anniversary. It made Kerrigan pause and take notice.

What struck Kerrigan (and us) was how Dave approached his job with joy and lightheartedness, despite doing the same routine for decades.

One quote that really stands out is when Kerrigan reflects: All things being equal, work done joylessly is work done less effectively, for nothing ever happens in a vacuum. It’s a reminder that how we show up at work, whatever the task, impacts everyone around us.

Another quote that resonated was “What does it matter in light of eternity?”—a question Kerrigan connects back to St. Bernard of Clairvaux. It’s about remembering that what we do isn’t as important as the love and intent we bring to it. That really hit home for me.

If a shuttle driver can bring that kind of presence and joy after 45 years, it’s a nudge for all of us to think about how we approach our work, no matter the role.
